Camino packing

6.4.2014
Prague

Finally, the date has arrived. I always wanted to make the pilgramage to Santiago de Compostela,
but there was never time nor money. Since I lost my job four months ago,  I only
then realized that this is the opportunity.
I am flying tomorrow in late evening from Vaclav Havel airport in Prague, first to London to join another flight to Tarbes. Tarbes is a small town, just a few kilometres
from Lourdes where my journey will start.
Yep, I can say I have my preparation phase finished and the following photos explain the extent of it.
All the equipment pictured, I had to buy new since
I wasn't really an outdoor person nor a prep-per before...
Items crossed out in red in the pictures are the ones I have finally decided not to take
or replace them during the final stage of packing in order to be able to fit everything
into the 50+10 backpack. I ended up with exactly 15 kgs of weight in total which
is actually a limit for any low-cost flight baggage.

  1. This is my brother Attila in another great adventure. But now his mother Maria will walk with him anytime and anywhere.
